Emotional Resilience #Week4Intro

Hello Friends!

Time for a new tool! I think you are going to like this one. It's a little, or maybe a lot, different than the ones we have done so far.

Shared in video:

  • Rough past week - serving
  • I plan to continue serving
  • New tool: 60 seconds of crazy happiness
  • Continue using previous tools

New Tool: 60 Seconds of Crazy Happiness

  1. Turn on some uplifting music (with good lyrics)
  2. Set timer for 60 seconds (or dance to the whole song)
  3. Then dance around the room.
  4. Raise your arms above your head and say things like "I am so excited!" "I am so happy!"
  5. Sing to the music while you're dancing around
  6. Invite family members to join you
This is a great way to raise your energy! And it just brings a smile to your face. Try it out and let me know how you like it.

I learned this tool from a class a friend of mine offers called Life on Purpose. My friend's name is Becky Edwards. It is so good!

Have a crazy happy week! 😄

  1. I love this idea! Before reading about this new tool, I did this the other day when I was cooking in the kitchen. My 6yo gave me some funny looks but joined in for part of the song. I love singing and dancing around to upbeat music when I'm working in the kitchen. It really adds energy to otherwise mundane tasks! It's harder to do, though, when I'm feeling down. But that's when I really need it, so I'll keep this tool in mind when I'm dragging in the afternoon.
